I'm Sonia Freestone - Founder and CEO of SSF Business Consulting. I have had a strong corporate career working as a successful in-house HR and Employment Law Consultant for 30 years and in 2010 I took the plunge to start working for myself.
Together with a Masters LLM in Employment Law and Chartered FCIPD status, I am a certified Conflict Coach and Prince2 level Project Manager. I have significant experience as a Chief People Officer, People Director, and Senior OD Specialist. Over the last 30 years I have had the pleasure of working with many great businesses and people, in various sectors ranging from small to large organisations. My work has included advising, supporting and collaborating with clients to resolve their issues including HR and Employment Law; Transformation ranging from Corporate Restructuring, Outsourcing, Off-shoring and Organisational Design changes; embedding Value and Culture Change, Conflict Management including conflict coaching, neutral assessments and complex independent investigations, Leadership Development; Recruitment and Talent Management, During my time at SSF Business Consulting I have had the opportunity to work with some larger well known business across the UK. However I realised that the SME market often lacks the ability to benefit from the same level of HR and Employment advise and support that is usually available for corporate clients. Smaller organisations are often unable to focus on organisational design, restructures, etc that they may need as they grow or change, thus preventing progress. If organisations are not able to do this they may no longer be effective or be able to navigate their way through complex people issues, which ultimately affects productivity. In 2017, we changed our operating model whilst still focussing on our vision to achieve success through people. We continue to work with both established and new SME's to align their business model with their people plan by developing and embedding their people strategy and facilitating their strategic and operational plan. We provide SME's with the same high level of HR and legal support as our corporate clients and we will continue to ensure that achieving success through people is embedded in our business model and shared with our clients to help them to grow, become more effective and successful.
